2023 Was Hard

2023 was hard. So was 2022, and 2021, and 2020, and…. Frankly, we’re nearing a really hard decade. So much change, so much fighting, so much violence. Not enough community, not enough connection, not enough. And too much.

2023 was hard. So was 2022, and 2021, and 2020, and…. Frankly, we’re nearing a really hard decade. So much change, so much fighting, so much violence. Not enough community, not enough connection, not enough. And too much.

Sure, there are moments of joy and spots of sunshine. YES, there is SO much to grateful for and many blessings to count. And, that doesn’t take away the hard.

As 2023 comes to an end, the highlight reels will flood your feed. Please, please, remember that those highlights are just that; there cannot be a highlight without a lowlight. Please, do not compare yourself, your relationship, or your life to the highlights of another—it’s not a fair comparison.

If you made it through this year, and it took every fiber of strength to do that—cheers, you made it. Let that be enough. Let that be your celebration. Let that be a testament to your strength, your courage, and your resilience. Let this be the place where you begin to find joy, in the light that was the other side. Or least, let this be a landing for rest before you forge on.

Your existence is the highlight. YOU are the highlight. You are enough.

As I reflect on 2023, I am so grateful for all that I have, all I’ve accomplished, the love that surrounds me, the work I get to do, the people I get to know… I am so grateful. I am also sad, tired, a little bit lost, and searching for hope for a better world, where love supersedes hate and violence, where the inclination is to offer a helping hand rather than a judgment, and where humanity leads.

Be the light. Lean into hope. Love each other.

Here’s to overcoming, to growth, to new pathways ahead, to what will hopefully be, a NEW year.

Cheers, Love, Light. ❤️✨

It all begins with an idea.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
